Call for a co-opted Trustee (Technical Alliance)

CHEAD is issuing a call for nominations for a co-opted Trustee to focus on the CHEAD Technical Alliance.

CHEAD is looking to co-opt a Trustee to lead CHEAD’s Technical Alliance. The co-opted Trustee would lead CHEAD’s Technical Alliance and Leadership Programme and liaise with CHEAD Directors to determine a programme of art and design technical community focussed events and projects.

The co-opted Trustee would attend and chair Technical Alliance meetings, events and leadership programme seminars and support the activities of Technical Alliance regional groups. The co-opted Trustee would be also be expected to attend CHEAD Trustee meetings where a report on Technical Alliance activities would be included.

Co-opted Trustees are appointed to ensure that work on key issues for the organisation can be effectively and efficiently carried out by the Board of Trustees. Co-opted Trustees have a very important role on the CHEAD Board of Trustees, sharing responsibility for governing CHEAD and directing how it is managed and run to carry out its range of activities. Co-opted Trustees are appointed to serve a three year term as per the CHEAD Constitution.

CHEAD is proactive in the receipt of nominations from underrepresented communities within our membership as we continue to build capacities in incorporating different perspectives. As a membership body focussing on equity, diversity and inclusivity, we want to promote and support better representation across our board membership.

Timetable for nominations
CHEAD would welcome nominations from candidates at CHEAD member institutions for the role. The timetable for nominations and appointment is as follows:

  • Deadline for applications: Thursday 9th May 2024 by 5pm
  • Applications considered by the CHEAD Board of Trustees: Tuesday 14th May 2024
  • Online interviews: TBC
