Following the success of the Creative Education Coalition’s creative education 1st manifesto, created ahead of the 2024 General Election and driving real recognition, value and change in creative education and the creative and cultural industries, we are now turning our attention to the creation of our 2nd manifesto - an opportunity to reflect on progress and achievements to date and review what’s now needed in the face of fast-moving political, geopolitical, economic and social developments. We would very much like to invite you to join us to be a part of this next exciting phase on Wednesday 15th July at University of York St John’s. Details below:

When:

Wednesday 15th July 10-4:30pm the summit will officially start at 10:30am and end promptly at 4:30pm

What:

To create 2nd creative education manifesto fit for multi-lateral lobbying and focus.

The day will be action orientated with participants taking part in 4 workshops based on 4 key themes that will in turn create our future manifesto asks. The themes focus around:

  1. The government’s industrial strategy

  2. Social inclusion

  3. Environment and sustainability

  4. Global and Local employability

Why:

To build on success to date and maintain momentum in delivering real and lasting positive change in creative education.

Who:

Passionate supporters and champions of the importance of creative education for the success of our creative and cultural industries; our economy and society more broadly.

There is no parking facility on site, but York train station is a 15-minute walk or short taxi ride away.
