Wrexham School of Art, established in 1887 as part of Wrexham School of Science and Art, is one of Wales’s oldest art institutions. Located in a Grade II listed Victorian building on Regent Street, the school offers a traditional art school atmosphere that inspires creativity.  Our programmes are designed with employability at their core, equipping students with industry-relevant skills and research-informed teaching, for successful careers in the creative industries. We offer BA, MA, and PhD courses across various disciplines, including fine art, design, applied art, printmaking, and photography. Collaborations with UK and international partners enhance our art and design research projects. At Wrexham School of Art, students engage with experienced, industry-active creatives, learning to create compelling work that meets professional standards. Our facilities include dedicated studios, workshops, café, gallery, and an on-site art shop offering materials at competitive prices. Our mission is to provide a versatile and cultivated art education in a progressive environment, preparing confident professionals for careers in the arts.
