The School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at the University of Roehampton integrates the creative dynamism of arts and digital industries with the deep-rooted traditions of humanities and social sciences.

Dedicated to nurturing holistic growth, the School offers Arts programmes as rich and as diverse as Dance, Digital Media, Journalism, Gaming and Creative Technology & Computing as well as a wide variety of courses from the disciplines of Social Sciences and Humanities. This amalgamation of diverse disciplines enriches the variety and impact of research undertaken within the School and ignites a learning experience that enables individuals to shape the future with their creativity, critical acumen, and profound understanding of the human experience.

Roehampton is proudly a very inclusive University and believes in aspirations for all. The School has a wide variety of students who are first to University, come from multiple cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and is both local to South London yet strongly international in its student population

At the heart of our approach within the School lies the belief in experiential learning with our curriculum enriched with career-focused modules, opportunities to study abroad and placement opportunities.  This pragmatic foundation empowers students to explore a wide spectrum of career paths and make a meaningful impact in many professional spheres.

Located in the vibrant hub of London, our school not only offers access to academic resources but also opens doors to a world of cultural and technological opportunities. Through partnerships with community organisations, festivals, museums, and dynamic creative and technology hubs, the School is immersed in a vibrant and inclusive ecosystem.
