Birmingham City University’s Faculty of Arts, Design and Media has been a pioneer in education and research since 1843.

Primarily based on an impressive campus in the centre of the UK’s second biggest city, our nine schools provide outstanding degree and postgraduate courses in creative and performance subjects.

We are home to a wide range of cutting-edge facilities including the new Royal Birmingham Conservatoire music building, four industry-standard TV studios including the ‘green screen’ MILO studio, and multiple photography and radio studios. The Parkside Building also encompasses various workshop spaces dedicated to print, textiles, wood, ceramics and more.

In addition to the city centre site, students at the School of Art and School of Jewellery benefit from studying in dedicated specialist facilities housed in architecturally significant buildings at Margaret Street and in Birmingham’s internationally renowned Jewellery Quarter.

The University aims to deliver a high quality learning environment and, by encouraging interdisciplinary thinking and collaborative practice, to shape the very best student experience.
