Sandra is Director of Policy and External Relations at the Council for Higher Education Art and Design. CHEAD is the representative body for art, design and creative media in higher education providing advocacy for 66 higher education institutions, promoting the sector’s interests and shaping policy. Sandra is responsible for providing executive support and strategic advice to the Executive Board and Trustees (VC/PVC level) whilst managing government relations, public affairs and interfaces with key stakeholders including Design Council, AHRC, Arts Council, Crafts Council, Creative UK, CVAN, UKADIA, Cumulus, ELIA and NESTA.
