Creative Graduate Mentoring Space recognises the leap from graduating university to working within the creative industries and aims to support recent graduates with sessions run in collaboration with West Yorkshire Print Workshop in Huddersfield.
- Have you graduated in 2023 or 2024 from a creative BA course and class yourself as an illustrator, printmaker, surface designer or illustrative graphic designer?
- Feeling daunted by a freelance career and wish there was a place of support?
- Are you based in West Yorkshire or can commit to commuting to the region periodically over the next 10 months?
Successful applicants will receive 8 onsite sessions and 8 online catch-up/mentoring sessions with a professional already working within the arts; from printmakers, lettering artists, illustrators/designers all who are seasoned professional freelancers.
Further details of how to apply
There’s a simple application process. Successful applicants will receive 8 onsite sessions based in West Yorkshire and 8 online sessions, delivered remotely over Zoom all free of charge from November 2024 to August 2025.
You will also be granted free membership to WYPW to help develop your work outside of these sessions, although some session fees and materials may be chargeable.
This is part of a research program developed by the researcher Nikki Farrar and so WYPW and University of Huddersfield through research funding will cover the additional costs associated with administering this scheme as part of our remit to support new and diverse talent.
