Meet CHEAD’s new Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity

CHEAD has appointed Sophie Amono as CHEAD’s new Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity. Sophie will take up the role from September 2023 for an initial eight-month fixed term contract to support CHEAD in the dynamic leadership in the area of CHEAD’s strategic priority of Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity.

Sophie will lead on formulating an EDI Strategy and support the CHEAD EDI working group and the delivery of the CHEAD EDI Alliance.

Sophie comes with a wealth of experience in strategic and meaningful EDI senior leadership and has worked with a range of arts, member led, not for profit, charity, and corporate organisations; most recently Scottish Opera and the British Interactive Media Association. Sophie is also currently undertaking an MA at the University of Arts, London.
