Call for a Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange focussed co-opted Trustee

May 23, 2023

CHEAD is issuing a call for nominations for a Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange focussed co-opted Trustee vacancy arising after the current co-chairs complete their three year term.

CHEAD is looking to co-opt a Trustee to lead CHEAD’s Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (RIKE) Alliance. The co-opted Trustee would be expected to attend and chair the RIKE Alliance Strategy Group meetings and work with the CHEAD Director of Membership and Operations and the Director of Policy and External Relations to determine the CHEAD programme of research focussed events and projects. The co-opted Trustee would be expected to attend CHEAD Trustee meetings where a report on RIKE Alliance activities would be included.

Co-opted Trustees are appointed to ensure that work on key issues for the organisation can be effectively and efficiently carried out by the Board of Trustees. Co-opted Trustees have a very important role on the CHEAD Board of Trustees, sharing responsibility for governing CHEAD and directing how it is managed and run to carry out its range of activities. Co-opted Trustees are appointed to serve a three year term as per the CHEAD Constitution.

The CHEAD Board of Trustees is committed to providing the necessary support to an individual to take on the RIKE focussed co-opted Trustee role and welcomes individuals who see the role as an opportunity for leadership development.

CHEAD is proactive in the receipt of nominations from underrepresented communities within our membership as we continue to build capacities in incorporating different perspectives. As a membership body focussing on equity, diversity and inclusivity, we want to promote and support better representation across our board membership.
